"La Garza" Golf Course is located 7 km from Linares, on the Carolina road, in a magnificent area wooded with Holm oak, eucaliptus and pine, surrounded by the typical chimney stacks and other remnants of the Linares mines.
The golf course is a part of the "La Garza" Sports Park, owned by the Andalusian Government, and run by the Public Company "Deporte Andaluz, SA". It is regarded as one of the most complete sports complexes in Spain, with a dozen sports facilities, Finnish chalets for the accommodation of sportsmen and women, a restaurant and countless other services.
Designed by José Gancedo, this is an attractive course, suitable for all playing levels, and where imagination and playing technique are of vital importance. It is a relatively flat course, with wide, well-separated fairways, although its difficulty lies in the woods, since all varieties have been respected, adapting the design of each fairway to the surroundings, and preserving a golfing tradition since 1970.
