In Almería, close to the capital, in the new residential and tourist complex of El Toyo, just a few metres from the beach and very close to the Cabo de Gata natural park, immersed in an unrivalled semi-desert environment, the impressive 18-hole Championship Golf Course “ALBORÁN GOLF” was born during the first half of 2005. ALBORAN GOLF has a large 18-hole Championship course “Par 72”, 6,278 metres long, a large practice range and various training areas, which also serve as a Golf School. Ramón Espinosa, its designer, has achieved an important balance between the different holes, both in their length and in the orientation and location of the different elements that make up the golf course (bunkers, streams, lakes, etc.) in order to enjoy golf on a challenging course, which is capable of putting us to the test on each and every hole. The 66 bunkers are strategically located along each and every hole, ensuring that the player never gets distracted. The course also has two large lakes, which are located on the first 9 holes of the course, and which, in addition to regulating the irrigation of the course, directly influence the game and the beauty of the surrounding environment. Near the Club House, we find the tees for hole 1, the green for hole 9, allowing the player a short break before continuing with the next nine holes, the tees for hole 10, and the majestic green for hole 18. The various training areas and the large tee box of the practice course are also located near the Club House, allowing quick movement for players who wish to practice before playing the 18 holes. In short, ALBORAN GOLF is the new reference for golf in the South of Spain. A course rated as demanding by the most experienced players and attractive for amateurs. It will undoubtedly be a place to enjoy some pleasant moments practicing a beautiful and healthy sport.
