One of the main features of the Paraiso is its location, which, helped by the microclimate of the area with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, places this original design by Gary Player in a fantastic position to enjoy golf at any time of the year. Located 14 km from Marbella in a valley surrounded by hills with magnificent views of the coast, it was carefully designed by Gary Player and Kirby. The designers made the layout taking advantage of the side of a hill whose slope extends towards the sea. The clubhouse, located in the middle, is rustic but very popular. The golf course has fairly wide fairways, although not so wide as to allow it to be attacked too hard, since its roughs are dangerous traps. The water hazards acquire a quite notable relevance, due to the beauty they add to the course and because there are dangerous streams hidden in the roughs. The central holes of the course (holes 13 and 14) have an incomparable setting, with large trees and lakes in the middle. The hole that we could say is the most difficult is the 7th, with a green guarded by two enormous bunkers.
