In the foothills of Sierra Bermeja, where the mountains meet the sea, lies this legendary golf club opened in 1990. Designed by Dave Thomas, with bunkers redesigned by Seve Ballesteros, the Old Course is among the best courses in Europe. Located very close to Gibraltar, it is a very long course with wide fairways, and the course is divided into two sections, one with an abundance of trees and the other with water hazards. The legendary Old Course at The San Roque Club is steeped in history, hosting 15 European Tour Schools between 1993 and 2007 and the Spanish Open in 2005. Some of the greats of the game began their careers here and have won major championships.
